Casting Director Susan McCray

Susan McCray started her casting career working on such shows as: Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Mannix and The Odd Couple, all produced at Paramount Studios. In the 70’s Susan was hired by Michael Landon to cast his series Little House on the Prairie. She was also assigned to cast the series Father Murphy, Hawaii 5-0, a PBS series entitled Freestyle as well as several movies for television including the Emmy award nominated The Five of Me, Rodeo Girl, Mark Twain: Beneath the Laughter, The Loneliest Runner, Diary of Anne Frank, and the motion picture Sam’s Son starring Eli Wallach.

As Vice President of Talent for Michael Landon Productions, Susan cast the NBC series Highway to Heaven, the Emmy nominated movie Where Pigeons Go To Die starring Art Carney, and the CBS pilot/movie of the week entitled US, which was the last Michael Landon project before his passing.

Susan was asked to cast two NBC movies, the first entitled Bonanza, The Return starring Ben Johnson, Richard Roundtree, Linda Gray and Dean Stockwell. This was followed by Bonanza Under Attack, starring Leonard Nimoy and Dennis Farina.
